Basic Requirements to Participate in the Wyoming Home Performance Program:

          Complete and submit an application.

Authorize a credit check of your company.

Submit two years of financial statements.  If the company has been in business less than five years and/or yearly gross income is less than $500,000, additional information will be requested and used by  WEC to determine eligibility for participation in the Wyoming Home Performance program on case-by-case basis.

Submit proof of adequate liability insurance with participation agreement.

Obtain all appropriate state or local business or contractor specialty licenses required for the type of work you perform.

Submit the application fee, upon acceptance to the program. Payment must be made in full prior to training.

Acquire all the required diagnostic equipment before the training program begins.

Pass a Building Performance Institute Building Analyst written exam, upon completion of classroom training.

Sign a Wyoming Home PerformancewES Participation Agreement.

Submit proof of good standing for Wyoming worker's compensation and unemployment programs.

Participate in mentoring program.  Mentoring will help identify areas where more training and technical assistance may be warranted and help prepare you and your staff for the field exam.

Identify five homes for comprehensive home performance assessments during the mentoring process, which must be completed within 90 days of classroom training. Homes evaluated during mentoring can be paid or unpaid jobs, and may include your own or a friend’s, relative’s, or employee’s. If you audit an employee’s home during mentoring, we suggest selecting employees who may be answering client questions on the assessment process in the future.

Pass a Building Performance Institute Building Analyst field exam, upon completion of mentoring.

Participate in on-going third-party quality assurance inspections as prescribed by national and local standards for work performed under this program, and meet reporting requirements.  Third-party quality assurance testing will be performed by qualified program staff or consultants who are certified BPI Professional Building Analyst  field proctors.

Report on completed jobs.   Reporting the jobs you complete is necessary to comply with BPI quality assurance and national Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program requirements.  Reporting permits the program to provide you with performance recognition on the website and positions you for national awards and participation in Alliance partner incentive and rebate programs.

Appropriately use and protect the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR brand and logo.
