
Basic Requirements to Participate in the Wyoming Home
Performance Program:
•
Complete
and submit an application.
•
Authorize
a credit check of your company.
•
Submit two
years of financial statements. If the company has been in business less than
five years and/or yearly gross income is less than $500,000, additional
information will be requested and used by WEC to determine eligibility for
participation in the Wyoming Home Performance program on case-by-case basis.
•
Submit
proof of adequate liability insurance with participation agreement.
•
Obtain all
appropriate state or local business or contractor specialty licenses required
for the type of work you perform.
•
Submit the
application fee, upon acceptance to the program. Payment must be made in full
prior to training.
•
Acquire
all the required diagnostic equipment before the training program begins.
•
Pass a
Building Performance Institute Building Analyst written exam, upon completion of
classroom training.
•
Sign a
Wyoming Home PerformancewES Participation Agreement.
•
Submit
proof of good standing for Wyoming worker's compensation and unemployment
programs.
•
Participate in mentoring program. Mentoring will help identify areas where more
training and technical assistance may be warranted and help prepare you and your
staff for the field exam.
•
Identify
five homes for comprehensive home performance assessments during the mentoring
process, which must be completed within 90 days of classroom training. Homes
evaluated during mentoring can be paid or unpaid jobs, and may include your own
or a friend’s, relative’s, or employee’s. If you audit an employee’s home during
mentoring, we suggest selecting employees who may be answering client questions
on the assessment process in the future.
•
Pass a
Building Performance Institute Building Analyst field exam, upon completion of
mentoring.
•
Participate in on-going third-party quality assurance inspections as prescribed
by national and local standards for work performed under this program, and meet
reporting requirements. Third-party quality assurance testing will be performed
by qualified program staff or consultants who are certified BPI Professional
Building Analyst field proctors.
•
Report on
completed jobs. Reporting the jobs you complete is necessary to comply with
BPI quality assurance and national Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program
requirements. Reporting permits the program to provide you with performance
recognition on the website and positions you for national awards and
participation in Alliance partner incentive and rebate programs.
•
Appropriately use and protect the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR brand and
logo.
